Iconic scene choice

I have decided to recreate the iconic scene from "The Matrix". I aim to switch the genre from Sci-Fi to Family. Because Neo (the character from the Matrix) is ducking under a series of bullets being shot at him, I will have him ducking under a limbo stick for my animation. I feel that by doing this then it the scene instantly goes from being serious and dangerous to more light and fun.

At the moment I plan to keep Neo as my character, but recreate him to be more comical. I would do this by giving him exaggerated features. One thing that I really want to emphasis in my animation is the contrast between the Sci-Fi and family genres. One way that I want to achieve this is by changing the clothes of the character. Instead of the total black overcoat style that Neo wears, I plan on changing it to a sort of Hawaiian/Tropical holiday shirt as limbo is generally thought of as a holiday beach sort of game. I will also give him shorts and jandals to add to this effect, though I will probably keep the small rounded shades that Neo wears (as sunglasses are often associated with holidays and could add a humorous effect to the animation). Just little details like that would really give my character the effect that I want him to give off.
